FRACTURED CHEEK BONE - I have been told that i need to have an operation to re-break my cheek bone ?

It will involve a permanant pin and plate in my cheek and a small scar near my ear. The only reason is cosmetic as i have a dint in my face after being aulted. I can not decide whether to go ahead with this operation and would really welcome any comments or experiences you have. Many thanks in anticipation.
