Is Xena the daughter of Ares God of War or not?

When I watched the furies it kinda made me wonder, such as the whole jealous husband thing, and Cyerene's husband mysterously comes home, then when Xena's 7 her mom kills her so called father. And if Xena was Ares kid why would he deny it when yet he didn't deny that Evander was his son. And if Xena is Ares's kid why have a love affair with her, when that is just sick and disgusting?
