Would this work for a Dracula fanfic?

As long as you add more depth than just bringing all the characters forward in time. Of course if it's written well then I guess it might work, although a lot of the mood and atmosphere in the original novel stems from the repressive attitude concerning in the Victorian era so I don't know how well transferring the story to a crazy modern college setting where is anything but repressed. Give it a shot you never know till you try. Also i think Renfield should start of as creepy mascot,who ends up in the nut house.
