What are the best beaches that you can go and relax on near bangkok?

how would i get there?? and how long would it take to get there? Any other places tat you would recommend that i go and visit while i am in bangkok? if possible can someone give me a general price on bottles of wine or beer and meals in restaurants? sorry about all the questions but i had planned to go to japan but we all know what happened there. so i have had to change at the last minute. all your answers are appreciated and thanks for your help and spare time.
